Right, so, 2night I have my friend over and I really wanna drink because I am staying in and shes staying over so I dont need 2 drive etc and we should have a good laugh and a drink! I think I will endulging in some cider lol, fruit cider. I am on 40mg cit though so only a few and ill b gone soi think for 1 night I can have a few just so get in mood? I dont drink unless i am socially involved. Plus the drink is like 5.5% ish lol.

Is this allowed lol xx

I drink on Prozac....it's not recommended though as it can make your anxiety worse.
Just have a few & see how you feel?

I am not on that so I don't know much, but I'd just suggest going slow. My sisters are on a few anxiety meds and they get very drunk off of less drinks than they would normally have. So just go slow bc you may react that way!

hey im on 60mg of citropram and not ment to drink (but on fridays i have 12 cans of beer its ok to drink on anti depressents has long has the atmosphere is good and nobody talks morbid ect the next day sometimes i feel abit low i dont suggest drinking on valuim tho done that before and i didnt no were i was never agen. so yea go easy on the drink dont drink it to fast normally id be panicy so id drink fast to make myself feel more at ease around people (social anxiety).

Basically it is OK to drink on citalopram as it doesnt react with alcohol, but what you can find is it seems to block the effects the next day, so can leave your anxiety really bad for a day or so afterwards. Not fun to have a hangover and anxiety, so just take it easy and dont drink too much
