Hi I'm 21 with no kids and not using hormonal birth control. Ever since I started tracking my periods (just over a year now), I have noticed that around the time of ovulation I feel more anxious (I have high anxiety anyway so this makes me super anxious), a little nauseous and sometimes get indigestion. I wondered why this happens? And which hormone is this that's making me feel like this? In a way I wish I didn't start tracking my periods because now I know the days where I'm going to feel like this and it makes me panic more - but it's helpful for other reasons. Last night I had a panic attack because I felt so ill, I calmed down eventually and got off to sleep but I'm feeling very weak this morning as a result. I just hope after today (my day of ovulation so the tracker says) I go back to being back to my anxious self... not my super anxious self.

I use a period tracker app.
I have a 35 day cycle instead of a 28!
My doctor said that was fine though.
I never kept track of my period my self, only starting doing it because the app did it for me.
I have noticed my anxiety starts to get higher a week before my period, I get a bit sad and tearful, then my anxiety is very bad for the first few days, then towards the end I start to mellow out.
I'm sure if you googled ovulation it might tell you what hormone it is,
Some women are just more sensitive to hormone changes.

I have just posted about my health anxiety being bad the week leading up to my period, I wondered if anyone else had it too
