Hello out there. Last year i started with depression/anxiety triggered by a relatively minor event but left me in a bad way not sleeping, panic attacks depression very tearful horrible unwanted thoughts etc. I saw my gp who prescribed citalopram 20mg and a sleeping tab. i thought i would never get out of it, but i did it took 2-3 weeks but slowly the panic attacks went, sleeping got better leaving the depressed thoughts. they also left lifting me out of the pit i was in. i was able to rationalise better and enjoy life again.
Anyone who feels like i did be reassured it does go.

Slight problem, a few more minor events have left me in the same position, of overwhelming sadness, tearfulness & despair and poor sleeping. GP has upped my dose to 30mg. Feelings can lift but also return.
Has anyone been in same position before. Bit of help/advice would be nice.
