Hi all, well I finally plucked up the courage to speak to my doctor about the burning Tongue I have had for nearly 3 years. He is sending me for a full blood work Inc b12, pv, FCC, renal, bone and glucose. I am terrified of blood tests and my biggest fear is getting the results and being told the worst. Are these just standard tests? X

I had all those tests done too tash..........all standard tests hun.

Yes they are what is known in the "trade" as mot blood tests. They give a good indication of someones overall health and alert the Drs to investigate further if they are wildy abnormal.

If there was anything seriously amiss they would ring you very quickly. I know this having worked at a Drs. If something shows up in blood that suggests serious illness like blood cancer then the lab ring the GP and you get a call from GP straight away.
