Bad bruising on leg worried about blood clot??

Hi everyone,

My anxiety has been getting really bad again lately so I thought id post on here to see if anyone could help.

Last week a big piece of marble from the fireplace fell on my dads leg and has caused some really bad bruising which is quite sore, now im so scared he will develop a blood clot from it. As usual I have checked it on google and there are some horror stories on there.

Iv spoken to my mum who is going to try and get him to go the doctors but he is so stubborn I dont think he will go. What are the symptoms of a blood clot, could something like this develop into one??

Hi if your dads leg gets swollen and firm to the touch then that is a symptom but if your dads leg is already swollen from the injury measure the girth of his leg and any increase and firmness needs to be checked out also if he has trouble breathing and chest pains just be aware the chances are he will be fine but these are the things you can keep an eye on for your own piece of mind
