Werll about 6 week's ago i posted that i have blood in urine but no other symptom's barring abit of flank pain now and again.

The specialist is having a CT Scan done to make sure it's not a kidney stone but it's going to be another 6 week's before i see him again.

I am worried incase it's anything more serious, what the chance's of it being anything bad given that they is limited symptom's?

Hi, if it was really serious you'd be having more urgent tests and be called back to hospital.

I know it's hard to wait but try to trust the diagnostics as they are looking out for you.:)

I take it you are a male of the species:) by your posting name. I have invisible blood in my urine all the time probably since birth but it is good to get any serious cause ruled out. I have had all the kidney tests a few times over the years and I probably just have big filters on my kidneys as they work fine. The only bit of my water works not checked out was my bladder and I had this done a few weeks ago with a camera plus another ultraound of kidkeys etc. As expected all was fine.

Once they have ruled out it being anything serious in your kidneys then they might want to look in your bladder depending on your age - if so being a man I would ask to be sedated as its more unpleasant proceedure for a man to have a camera you know where:scared15:

Hopefully you are young and healthy and they won't want to check your bladder. Remember it does not have to be anything nasty causing this.

Trevstan, I have also had trace amounts of blood in my urine since I was a child. In my early 20's I had a kidney biopsy, more to satisfy the doctor's curiosity than anything else I think. Turns out I have thinner membranes on my kidney's than most other people, apparently. I'm still here over a decade later with no further problems!

Yeah i remember i had a medical about 5 year's ago and had slight trace's in my urine then but nothing was taken any further...

When i was having problem's with my colon and weight loss my doc decided to do a urine sample and hey presto still there, sort of worried but trying not to think about it.

I have to wait about 3 week's before my CT Scan and 6 week's before i see the consultant again, he did however check my stomach and back area and also my man region's (lol) and said everything looked good but wanted to do a CT scan as that's the best cause of action incase there is a kidney stone.

Wouldn't i be in pain if i had a kidney stone?

You are probably like rest of us for who it is normal to have invisible blood in urine. The urologist who did my cystoscopy a few weeks ago said that in someone under 50 occult blood in urine is rarely a sign of anythng nasty but over 50 they are duty bound to check the kidneys and camera in bladder of males and females.

Try giving a sample of your urine from overnight next time you have to as I find that a sample done then is free of blood but one given during the day is always positive????? No Dr can give me an explanation for this but worth a try.

Yeah look's like that could be just it, i'll try and get the doctor to do a urine test on my evening one.

Also having problem's with my high lvl alt test on my liver need to get that rechecked.

Falling apart :weep:

When i had frequent urination the doctor done a test of my urine and said there was small traces of blood but i never had UTI. I'm sure that will be my next worry after i get all the current ones out of the way.

I really hate HA with a passion.
