Really sore throat.

By now i have learned not to use google but i'm quite worried. For the last 3-4 days i have had a sore throat that seems to come and go. It hurts when i swallow and stick my tongue out and it only hurts on one side. I'm 26 and gave up smoking a couple of years ago so i doubt it's the C word but it is in the back of my mind.

Anybody know what this is and what i can do to get rid of it?

If it makes you feel better Ive had a sore throat for over a week.it looks red as well.HOWEVER there are a lot of viruses going round at the moment and a few of my friends have it as well-its probably a virus or the start of a cold-nothing to worry about. Try not to worry as you ll run yourself down and it will take longer to go. Vit c with zinc supplements are good for that sort of thing x

Still got this horrible thing. Woke up this morning in quite some pain. I have never had a sore throat like this before, it's only on one side.
