Hi I have just been referred to the community Mental Health team and I don't know what they do. I am on 60 mg of citlopram and had a bit of a breakdown last week and have been signed off until further notice. I am really nervous about what this referral means. The other thing worrying me is in my job i worked with a number of CPN's and am anxious about running inot them. I have a feeling the person I am supposed to see I worked wih a few years ago.

Sorry if I am rambling but brain working at 100 MPH.

Any help would be really useful :scared15:

Surely a CPN's work ethics and code of conduct would ensure their discretion? They could otherwise get into a shitload of trouble.

Don't honestly think its going to matter if you worked with them in the past......... they might even give you extra special treatment if you're lucky!

Hello :) Community mental health teams are teams which have social workers, Drs, CPNs, therapists and other professionals who can help - it's a really positive thing for you. They can offer you support in any area of life you're struggling with, and like the others have said, knowing the CPNs might work in your favour :)
