tooth abscess and panicing

Help, just been to the emmergency dentist and they have given me penicillin v i am panicing to take it in case i have a reaction, even though i am sure i have had them before, i have had amoxocillin, and if i dont take them i read you can get specticimia. oh my god help. i am pill phobic

I really felt for you when i read your post, iv got an absess too and was in agony last week. Please take the penicillin it will make you feel so much better, the absess wont go away by itself & if its anything like mine was you must feel really crap, you will be fine with the penicillin. If you are sure you have had them before keep reminding yourself of this & when you take them go and distract yourself with a book or the tv so you dont start imagining side effects. But honestly if you are in as much pain as I was the relief wen the tablets start to work is so immense you wont even think bout side effects.
