ok so yesterday i went to see the orthopedic doc about my finger and wrist pain, i have finger pain in my finger next to my little finger and i cant straighten it out properly the pain goes all through my hand and lately the finger next to it hurts in the joints, i also have wrist pain in the other hand, he said it wasnt mnd which was my worry and he felt it was trigger finger, id never heard of this and carpel tunnel in my other arm, i was happy obviously as he wasnt worried said i could have an injection to sort out the trigger finger but with the carpel tunnel he said i could have some nerve conduction tests done? if it was deffo carpel why would he need to do the nerve conduction test do you think he could be thinking ms, i had the great relief yesterday when i left the hospital but today am thinking maybe he was wrong especially as the joint pain in my middle finger is quite bad, he didnt really touch upon the joint pain :weep: gosh i so hate having health anxiety wish i could just be happy with the diagnosis, i just wanted somebody elses take on it
thanks for reading xx

He probably has to do the nerve conduction test just to prove he was right so he cannot be sued - docs have to cover their rear ends!

Hi Rebecca. As far as I know, carpel tunnel can be quite severe, so he probably just wants to check the extent of the impact to the nerves in your wrist. I wouldn't worry though, I know people who've recovered from very bad carpel tunnel syndrome.
