What foods help with mental health issues like anxiety and depression? I struggle greatly with anxiety and depression and I want to take a more organic non-prescription approach to help with it. What foods are good for mental health?

These are some of the things I've heard to be good, and do try to keep in mind.

Slow releasing energy (brown grains etc) are meant to be good, to help minimise the ups and downs.

If your depression is related to hypothyroidism, raw greens like broccoli and cabbage aren't good.

Guarana for energy. (I've tried buying drinks with this. Though not sure how much it was just the sugar helping, which then went against trying to avoid sugary spikes)

Fish oil rich in omega-3. (dr recommended against trying to eat loads of fish because it would be virtually impossible to eat enough fish to get the oil benefit, and you'd also contend with high mercury levels.)
