Hi is it ok to wear a mouth guard at night? Im really scared to but my teeth are so badly grinding. Also found out i have got to have an operation to move my jaw and im petrified. This is going to make my anxiety come back. I hace to have braces to, i already hate the way i look im never going to be able to go into public :,(

Beth. You are really pretty! nothing will make you look terrible. I understand your fear 100 per cent but you will get through this. the mouth guard will be fine to use.
and no one laughs at braces now. so many teens have them and there so normal! :) dont worry over it.

It should be fine but I would check with your orthodontist if the mouthguard will fit ok over your braces.
Just think - after your operation and braces, your jaw will be better and your teeth will be straight and beautiful! I'm so glad I had braces, and it won't make people think any different of you because so many people have them these days. Think of how much better it will be in the long run :)
