Hi! Ive taken Ativan daily since March. The other meds like SSRIs don't really work for me. I take .5 mg every morning. I know it's not supposed to be taken long term but I've had so many stressful life events that I don't see myself coming off of them anytime soon. If I go into a full panic attack then I'll take another one and it calms me down very quickly.

i only take them when needed wish i didnt have to take nethiun tho :( im on seroxat aswell xx

Im also on citalopram but the diazepam is a life safer for me with the side effects!! xx

I have been on them for a long long time! Too long but when I have been refused help of any kind on the NHS, what am I supposed to do.

Anyway I am thinking of coming down off of them, if I do it very slowly I shouldn't have many problems:unsure::unsure::shrug::shrug:

In the UK, most patients on lorazepam are swtiched to diazepam whilst coming off them cos diazepam stays in your system longer thus minimizing potential side effects. Maybe you could try asking your doctor about this?
