sounding like you have a cold...

Yesterday, out of the blue, I noticed that I was sounding like I had a cold, even someone on the phone I spoke to asked me if I was crying and I wasnt.. I dont have a cold exactly, so was just wondering why this is? part of the condition?

I get the nasal sound when Central heating has been on and even when its not I often get it in evening when temperature drops.
