I don't even know where to begin. This has been the worst 5 months of my life without a doubt. For the last 5 months I have been constantly spaced out and don't know what to do now and now I am feeling kind of hopeless. This started after a night of heavy drinking I woke up feeling very spaced out and strange and it has just been with me ever since non-stop. I've read about dp/dr and I am pretty sure this is what I am experiencing. However I just haven't been able to convince myself that it is just anxiety. I've been to a few doctor's who seem to think it is but deep down I keep thinking the anxiety is the result of this. I have never had a panic attack or really any other anxiety symptoms that I know of so could this be something else? I was so desperate I even emailed a naturopath for advice and he said that dp/dr is the same thing as "brain fog" and it could be because I am vitamin deficient. I have been taking vitamin b complex, omega 3, and a multivitamin everyday. I don't know what else to do. I am 20 years old and attending a university. I actually took this quarter off to try to recover and I go back in 3 weeks. I would really love to feel at least a little better by the time I go back but I don't know what steps I should take to help myself. Sometimes its so bad I just feel like a zombie and I'm not really here. I just zone out completely sometimes and I don't have a clue what is going on around me. Could all this really just be anxiety? If it is how could I get it after drinking 1 night? I haven't drank since and I have been trying to watch my diet but nothing seems to be working. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
sam
hiya sam
i hope you have had a look around the site and realised how common this spaced out feeling is
yes is the answer to your question , it could all be anxiety. are you really sure that it all started after one night out or was the night out just the trigger of something bigger
i too have these feelings but when i look back on them they really did not come out of the blue as i first suspect but after week or more of worry about something
i hope this helps

Hi, thanks for the reply. Actually to tell you the truth at the time it happened I was on a 2 week break and loving life. I really had no worries at all. This is why this is so puzzling to me that it could all just be anxiety.
