Hi

I was wondering if you all check your breasts each month?

I have my husband do it as I sweat and panick so much when I do it that it makes it hard.

Is it ok that my husband does it?

Hi
YES i check mine (doesnt take long-only small ! ) not definately every month more when I think about it. Its more about being breast aware and knowing whats normal for you so it may be better if you do it rather than your husband then you can feel any differences. Im in my 40s and paid privately for a mammogram anyway just to be safe x

If you had an option for "I don't do it" I think you would get some interesting results.

I've changed my mind. Think of how many idiotic men will vote for that!

I do try check them myself but I push hard and grab to when I think I found something, my husband had a briefing on how to do it after I saw breast specialists in may. But I don't understand how long it should take I am a 32c and it don't take 10 minutes to check like I read it should, more like a minute or so?

Well I was going to be honest and vote for "I don't do it" but there wasn't an option so I will just post here instead. I know I should but I don't do it that much to be honest.

That's not a bad thing, mine are big enough and are also lumpy as the doctors put it making it harder to check and I get scared

i don't do it at all, but i guess i'd feel a lump in the course of general life or putting on a bar / washing....

never really thought about, or knew you do it every month.... hmmmm

I never do it. I also think that a lump would make itself known through washing etc. I read somewhere that some doctors don't think monthly is strictly helpful as it makes women terrified of their breasts. Breast cancer, in my opinion, gets an unfair amount of attention probably because everyone loves breasts and shops know that women shop so every bloody thing that can be pink *is* pink.

Too much breast awareness is not good for me personally. I see all sorts and fixate on it.

Doctor is wanting to check them next time I see her as they're quite lumpy but I'm not happy. I can't cope with anyone touching me due to things that happened before, hate it!
