Hi Everyone:D

This is the first forum I have ever been in and I'm not quite sure what to do but here goes!

All thru my life I've been kind of a glass half empty kind of guy and have been ok with it. I have been prone to episodes where I seem to worry needlessly and incessantly (health, relationships, flying etc). These times haven't been great but I get thru'. However about 2 month ago, I had a problem with my throat that has just got waaay out of hand. I'm going to enter more on this in General Anxiety Area.

I recently found out about G.A.D. and much of it is me to a T!

Not sure how I'm going to use this website but have to add that it has been brilliant for me. As I'm sure that many of you are aware, suffering from anxiety as we do is not always the easiest thing for you or family to live with and this can be very isolating. To find that there are people going through exactly the same thing is a huge relief and your stories are very encouraging. I can honestly say that this website has helped me more than any visit to the doctor has.

Thanks again
Steve

Hi Steve, & welcome to NMP. The throat problem is extremely common. I've been coming on the site for a few months now & I can honestly say that had I not found it, I would probably have convinced myself that I was dying of a heart attack when I first started suffering from panic attacks & anxiety. I am so glad I found this site & I'm sure you will be too.

Take care.
