Really stupid question

So normally when I get a pap test every year I don't get anything in the mail if it is normal. This year I got a letter and it said no abnormal cells or precancerous cells, etc, which was great. But for some reason I am a little unnerved that they sent me a letter?? Normally I just don't hear from them if it is fine.

Any thoughts?

I know, STUPID question because it said everything was fine. I just could use some reassurance that they do this for other people too!

In the UK we get a letter every time to say that all is ok. Maybe they have started doing that

I and every female I have ever known usually get a card in the mail with just normal or abnormal circled on it. Also maybe they've suddenly changed the way they notify women about their results. Don't fret you're fine!

thanks! i figured, just always twist things in my head ... hard to listen to obvious logic sometimes.
