I have been using three blood pressure meds and valium and a alpha blocker. For the last two months my heart rate has been about 71 to 85 but for the last three days its been 65 no matter what I do and when I really relaxed it goes to 61.I know that im taking a beta blocker but why would my pulse all of a sudden drop that low. Im worried something has happened to my heart from the meds that might be causing this.Anybody have and ideas?

HI,

Your pulse can be anything between 60-100 and that is normal, so all fine!

I take beta blockers and my pulse is always different

61 isn't very low......... mine is normally about 55. top athletes can be down to 40. Nothing to worry about!

MIne is low 50s in the morning. Some times it's just low n I'm do used to it being high that I get nervous when I can't raise it up!
But 60 beats a minute sounds good.
Your heart is getting much needed rest, better than having it working over time because your anxious :)
