Lactulose

Sorry this is a silly question - i have a fissure and have been advised to take lactulose for a few weeks as well as using a new cream. My concern is will i become dependent on the lactulose and not be able to go when i stop taking it , sorry but im beginning to worry !!

I wouldn't have thought so. I take it on a "as required" basis, the cream also. x

Hi, No you will not get dependent on it. I am a nurse and know that it is not used to make you go but to keep your stools soft so it doest make the fissure worse. it would not matter if u took it for ever. Dont worry x
