View Full Version : Can grinding your teeth make your ears hurt?

I've been having headaches for the past couple of days - mainly I attribute them to stress. I've also had some headaches that are on my temple, hurt, and kind of throb (they feel very much like tension headaches).

Again, I chalk them up to stress. I also grind my teeth - due to stress - and I've noticed that the exact places that hurt are where my muscles "flex" when I grind, so I'm thinking there's a correlation there (right?).

But both of my ears have also hurt a bit. Not constantly - in fact, I mostly only notice it when I'm having a quick "flash" of panic or extreme stress. Could this be due to grinding my teeth - or is it just because I've noticed some pain there, it's worried me, so now when I panic I feel the pain again?

Or could it be something else?

Thanks.

My partner grinds his teeth when he's stressed and then complains of earache. I tend to clench my jaw and that gives me earache too.
