Hi,

I have just had my second assessment this morning with the NHS for CBT or other (my first assessment which lead me onto supported self help didnt feel beneficial to me and I've since upped my dose of Citalopram)

After having 6 sessions of Supported Self Help (CBT based workbooks) I found that my anxiety peaked again and so after being on the meds for 3month I upped my dose of Citalopram from 10mg to 20mg.

The lady suggested I go for EFT. I'd never heard of this therapy before and it's not yet listed withing MIND's guidelines. Also, I can receive this treatment after Christmas, CBT has a 6month wait.

Does anyone know of or has anyone experienced EFT and if it worked for you?

Thanks,

J xx

EFT involves tapping certain areas , try YouTube .
It has often calmed me down :) I bet it would work way better if I had a therapist who was trained in that sorts stuff. So lucky you! Hope it helps :)
