Hi

I'm on 60mg of citalopram but my anxiety/depression is getting worst (I've only been on 60mg for 3 weeks before that i was on 40mg). I am going to ask my GP if i cna go of Fluoxetine.

Has anyone done this? Do you have to wean yourself off of the citalopram before going on the fluoxetine?

I'm really worried that I'm not going to be able to function properly and have to take time off of work.

Any advice would be so appreciated.

Thanks

Hi my friend did a straight swap off cit to fluxetine with no problems, she just replaced her cit with the fluxetine and was fine, no side effects or anything! good luck xx

one of my friends is a trained physchatric nurse and she said fluxetine is a better med for depression and cit is the one for anxiety/panic attacks? my friend who swapped didn't suffer anxiety/panic just depression xx
