Hi everyone...just to introduce myself...thought this forum looked good and it's UK based which is cool as often need NHS related advice! Suffer with anxiety and depression. Have done for as long as I can remember but its much worse over the past two years. Was brought up my an alcoholic bi polar mum and paedophile dad so that has a lot to do with it possibly. Never had a permenant job or home in my life or relationship so that also might have something to do with it. Tried getting a permenant job several times but was always sacked through no fault of my own. Unfair dismissal one might say. Last couple of years I've lost my gran (the only normal person in my life, had a serious relationship break up, had nearly all my friends let me down and desert me, got into major debt, had a miscarriage and got framed for theft. Started taking Seroxat but it didn't work so went on to Cipralex which took the edge of things but am still in a very bad way. Started of on 10mg and now on 20mg. Have a question about this actually. My old surgery told me 20mg was the highest dose but have since found out 40mg is the highest. I was wondering if they told me this because as GPs they are not permitted to prescribe a higher doseand would need a psychiatrist to do that? Anyone know? My new GPs are even worse thatn the lsat lot. Nasty bunch.
