Hey there...just wondered if anyone can help me on this. I am currently taking Copralex and have been on it for about a year. Tried Seroxat but it didn't work. Cipralex has helped with the depression bubt nt too much with anxiety. Started of on 10mg and now on 20mg. My old surgery told me 20mg was the highest dose but have since found out 40mg is the highest. I was wondering if they told me this because as GPs they are not permitted to prescribe a higher doseand would need a psychiatrist to do that? Anyone know?

Hi Polly

I don't know why GPs won't prescribe more than 20mg mine won't either. Think the meds have helped for depression but not so much for the anxiety.

Good luck

I still don't gte why the leaflet says 40mg but everywhere else says 20mg. I might email the compnay and ask. When I get a response I shall let you know. In the meantime here are a few useful links:

My Dr tells me she has patients on 80mg. I am on 10 myself and find its great for the anxiety
