I am struggling really bad with my ha at the moment. My boob worry is back big time and I am scared. Back in may I noticed my right boob hurt when I pushed it I then noticed a thickened lumpy area. I saw 4 doctors who said I have lumpy boobs but was not worried so I paid to see a breast specialist. She felt and said I had glandular lumpy tissue but I had a scan on the right boob. The scan was clear.

However each month I have a horrible feeling, the boob pain is worse 2 weeks leading up to my period and is only in one boob. I get little twinges in both boobs that worry me but of I push or lean in my right boob it is sore :( and I am scared that it's something bad, sometimes the skin feels like there is a little cut there and if I brush past it stings.

My husband checks my boobs about 2 times a month and knows the lumpy area I had scanned before. I am so scared that this soreness is a bad sign at because my boobs are lumpy it would make a lump harder to find.

I have the doctors Tuesday I am going about my depression and anxiety but am going to ask him to check my boobs I am terrified he will find something

Apologies, I may not be the best person to comment on this but I used to be convinced I had something wrong with my liver. I was obsessively feel and press on the area where my liver is to check for pain and hardness. Also, I would do this without knowing it. Then while doing something else I would notice a twinge or pain in that area then I would go back to checking. I was causing internal bruising and that was the pain I was feeling that would in turn cause my worry and subsequent obsessive checking. A vicious cycle.

Thankyou for your reply.

Do any ladies have this, I am 25 and not on any pill or anything I do have a little girl but never breast fed. I know I saw a specialist about it but that was in may something bad could be there now

It doesn't matter when you saw the specialist, they have diagnosed your lumpy breast as glandular so theres nothing to worry about.
I have a glandular left breast, it always hurts and swells up when my period is due and has done for the last 15 years.

But my right breast always seems to hurt when pushed even if not on or due my period it just hurts more when pushed near my period. I am so protective of it I don't like it being touched my daughter has a habit of leaning on it with her elbow but it always seems to hurt when pushed

So does mine hurt all the time when pushed, but it hurts without being pushed when my period is due.

My left one is just like that, it feels tender when pressed but not all the time and it doesn't seem connected with my time of the month either. The same breast is also bigger than the other and very lumpy.
I went to see my GP last week (because of it suddenly being bigger than the other one) and she said she wasn't worried but she'd like to see me in a month as there was a very lumpy area she wants to check.

I'm pretty sure if you've been checked and had a scan that there isn't a problem but don't be afraid to go back again, that's what our GPs are paid for!!

I am going to the doctors next week to talk about my depression anxiety as can't cope anymore it is ruining my marriage and other aspects of my life. I am scared the doctor will feel my breasts and refer me for the lumpiness that a specialist said was normal and then I will have weeks of more waiting and worry :( my husband checks my boobs every month as says they feel no different but my right one is sore and getting funny pains and twinges in both sides and under my right arm. The beginning of this month I convinced myself my smear was going to be abnormal and was a complete state over that my ha is so bad it used to come every couple of months

Ovary scan in April
Breast scan may
MRI August
Smear November
And again back to the boob worry I can't cope I can't get my worries out my head I know I shouldnt push my boob but i do to hope the pain has gone, but now getting weird twinges when not being touched just scared on edge and want to be able to think like normal people think
