Nodule under ear

I have this nodule thing under my ear.. it feels like a little knot and is really hard... I went to doctor n he said it was just an acne cyst but its kinda hurting. Could this be something bad like a small tumor or cancer?

no,small tumours or nodes due to cancer dont tend to hurt and also feel differently from nodes which are enlarged due to infection,if your doc says its an acne cyst the thats what it is, try to keep from touching it, this will enable it to disperse itself less painfully, try not to worry, the worry will only make it seem bigger.

This sounds very similar to what i have,is the cyst under your ear along the jaw bone?
I was told by my doctor that it was a cyst then reffered to an ear nose and throat specialist to have it removed. The ent specialist took a needle biopsy, the results came back and they didnt find any thing bad such as cancer just skin cells. Its not uncommon for these cysts to appear along the jaw bone so dont worry!!
Im having mine removed mid june,the ent doctor told me i didnt necessarily have to have it removed its just to put my mind at rest really!

You havent got new earings in or anything like that at the moment? I had something that sounds like that a few years ago & i had put new earings in & basically they made my ears itch like mad then a few days later i had the little knot just behind the ear lobe in the indent bit of the head, my doctor said it was my glands reacting to an infection (caused by my body not liking the fake gold i was wearing in it) and i think within a few weeks it was gone.

Omg I think I did a post about this a couple of weeks back. Is it under your ear lobe, slightly up and at where the jaw bone meets the rest of the skull? If so, I had that. Glad to see the doctor wasn't worried.
