Bad cold and stressing out about yellow snot

Hi everyone

I wonder if someone could help reassure me?

I've had a cold for 10 days now and for the past couple of days when i blow my nose the snot is bright yellow (and I mean bright - almost luminous).

I've never ever had this before. Usually when I have a cold my snot turns green.

I am really really stressing out about this.

Has anyone else ever had yellow snot before with a cold?

Oh and my legs have been really achey today. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Hi just to reply I have had a cold for about a week or so and i have got very yellow snot aswell i blow my nose and two mins later it is blocked up again i havent got any sinus pain i think it is normal for snot to turn that colour as the cold starts to go hope that helps dont worry take care toria xx

Yellow snot is normal but when it turns green it usually means theres an infection in your sinus's or something! X x

I dont know aye my gp always asks me if its green and if it is she gives me antibiotics for it.
Maybe the best place to get the best reassurance is to go to your gp and ask them.
