Throat thud/pulsing

I've recently been getting this if I get up after sitting down for a while, or if I move quickly. Why is my pulse so loud in my throat area? Is it just anxiety?

could be just your heart beat or a muscle twitch, I get both, the muscle twitching tends to feel stronger though.

It's just your heart pumping a bit harder when you stand up to make sure the blood keeps going round. Nothing to worry about. If you can feel it you must have a good strong heart.
