Me being me, as inquisitive as i am; just wondering what everyone does for a living on the site? What sort of environment do you work in and does it affect your disorders.

My Job/career is working for a Motor Factor that sells car parts and i do get very stressed as im put under alot of pressure from time to time. Its a very face moving atmosphere where everything must go right.

Thats my Job at the minute hopefully the future is to hold better, up and beyond i say.

I work with people with physical disabilities. Its not something I planned to get into (studied for years to be an Ecologist but struggling to get a job in the field). It is such a great job, I really love helping people and have great chats with everyone. It doesn't feel like work at all.

I worked in I.T. for 22 years then got made redundant earlier this year so decided on a career change.

I am now a Support Worker working with people with mental health problems.

I only work part-time and only have 2 clients but it is a worthwhile job at times though the pay is rubbish compared to I.T.

I work on check-in at Manchester airport. Pay's not great.. really difficult as well sometimes with the early starts (3 or 4am!) and sometimes facing so many people is hard, sometimes I sit there and think 'jeez, how do I do this?'
It's not what I planned on doing!
I essentially only work 30 hours a week which is good but at the same time the lack of money causes stress but constantly debate with myself if I could cope with a 40 odd hour a week job.

I work in a specialist music shop. We sell large amounts of sheet music and books. Our contracts are mostly with the schools. I do research and work in the shop. It is very rewarding. We used to sell instruments and cds but we don't any more but still a full range of accessories. We have our own website and some of our business is done via the net and our online catalogue. EJ.

Crumbs poppet i'd make a poop Pole. I'm way too lumpy and bumpy for those shinanigans. MM on the other hand would make a fab pole and it would stop all this sloping antics he's so good at. :D

Nooo we are in the dark ages!! We provide sheet music some instruments for schools and accessories such as rosin, chin rests and the like. We can 'down- load' some popular music. Our shop has been around 150 years. I'm not the owner btw. EJ.

Housing Support Worker for local authority but currently off sick with anxiety and depression. I'm soon to be 'let go' as they can't sustain my absence which is ok as I think my job was making me feel worse. No one wants to find themselves unemployed but I honestly can't return to that job and I don't think I'm well enough yet to find another. I currently have good days and bad days - blips still appearing though. Ah the joys of being 'nervy' eh?
