It is great that your doctor is arranging therapy for you rather than reaching for the prescription pad. I hope the waiting list is not too long for you.

You will find a lot of help and support here.

Hi Cheryl and welcome im also new to the forum and I have found it very helpful.
I suffer with chronic anxiety and agraphobia for almost 10 years and my gp like yours hasnt put me on medication his words were if you can defeat it yourself then you can defeat it anytime it might be slower but you will get there in the end as im getting over mine now slowly but surely.

Hope therapy helps you.
Take care.
