I cannot get my head around how ranges vary from lab to lab. For the past year I have had abnormal lft, bilirubin from 19 to 32 and alt 52 to 64. I recently changed surgeries and the dr ran bloods as part of a normal procedure for new patients. I was shocked to be told my lft were ok. I got a copy of the results which showed my alt was 52 but the range is 0-60. At the old surgery the range was 0-45, how can this be? My old dr claims I have liver inflamation and the dr says all good!!! My bilirubin was lowest every and so was my cholesterol. This test was non fasted so would have thought all would had be higher. Very confused here.
