hi there,im traci, age 40 and new here so please forgive me if i mess up.
well here goes. i lost my mum to breast cancer(spread to lung) last july. before that iwas fine apart from a problem with my shoulder that seemed to come and go. i gradually developed a lot of the usual anxiety symptoms which have almost all gone, but it is what im left with that causes me greatest concern.
1.a tight sometimes sore feeling across chest, but not pain.
2.a dry sore throat some times feeling swolen, but i dont think it actually is.
3.nausea feeling,but not sick.
4.my shoulder still plays up(can feel it in my back and also front ,aching pulling feeling, everyday but not all day.
5.sinuses, phlegm/throat mucous.have to cough to clear.
6.snappy and impatient.
i have these every day although they vary in intensity.i have had bloods done ,ecg and chest x-ray,,all fine.i take propanalol , amytriptyline and omeprazole.plus other tabs for other things,ie;hayfever. i am just worried i have the same as my mum because of the location of my symptoms. although the only symptom she had was a cough, which i havent.,i am a worrier any way and have had ongoing stress since losing my mum. can anxiety really make you feel like this on a daily basis for about 10 months now? please help , iwould like to hear some opinions on this, before i go mad. sorry its been long, but thankyou. traci.

Hi Traci,

Hello and welcome. I can sympathise with you completely. I also developed my anxiety due to my father dying with cancer over 10 years ago. I didnt know for years what was wrong with me until I came upon this site a few months ago. Now I know im not alone and the way I feel on a daily basis is normal for anxiety sufferers like ourselves. You have done the best thing coming here and this site with lots of friendly people and great advice will no doubt help you greatly as it has done for me. I think just knowing everyone here is in the same boat makes my days so much happier.

Can I just say, you wont mess up on here, there is no right or wrong way on how you feel or express how you feel. (so long as your polite):D

I'm sorry to hear you lost your mum, have these symptoms started since you lost her?

Yes anxiety can make you feel like you do and there is no time frame either. There are hundreds of symptoms that can go with anxiety.

I hope you find some good friends on here

Good luck

Feel free to PM me, if you want to talk.
