how much propanolol should i take?

Hi guys, I was prescribed propanolol last year for my anxiety, however only started taking them a few days ago. The prescription label states 40mg twice daily. I felt quite agitated this morn so took 80mg, this has now wore off, I'm just about 2 take another 40mg. Does anyone think I shld stick 2 the directed dose or is it ok 2 up the dose every now and again. I'm going 2 try and get appointment with gp next week. Thanks folks x

I take two tablets instead of one but only take it once or twice a month. I am a large guy and so probably can get away with a bit extra. I think you're doing the right thing by going to see your GP that's the best advice I can give you!

Thanks for the reply. I will go with the prescribed dose and hopefully get an appointment soon
