best time to take a pregnancy test?

I'm on the contraceptive injection and haven't had a period in a year. The test says take it the first day of period, but I haven't had one in ages! Not sure when to take it? It's been 3 weeks since I last had sex...help?

Nothings 100% safe. as for not having a period im preety sure you dont have one on the injectsion but i could be misslead google is your friend :) xx
