Blood dot in eye

Well yesterday i felt like something was in my eye so i went and looked in the mirror. i lifted up my lower eyelid and saw an eyelash hanging on there so cut a long story short i got it out and today i woke up with a small red dot on the white part of my eye. Anyone know what this could be? is it serious? and is it worth a doctors visit (i dont want to waste his time over nothing if that is the case).

Is the dot in exactly the same place that you removed the eyelash from as if it is then you were a little rough in your eyelash removing and will have scraped your eyeball resulting in the little bleed. Totally harmless.

Some people get "red eye" where a big bleed happens and they get a totally red eye, all the white goes red over a few days and it looks horrible but even this is rarely due to anything really serious. The blood vessels in the white of eye are very very fragile and you will have damaged a little one getting the eyelash out.
