hi i also posted a topic on health anxiety but i think it comes under this as well. where do i start... i am obsessed by dying ever since i found out i was pregnant april 05 every lump is cancer, every headache is a brain tumour every ache and pain im dying. recently started having chestpains which i think is heart disease... the list goes on and on. but i worry about everything but it really has taken over my life. my life is so full of worry i cant stand to have fun. i have so many fears that i hardly laugh or smile. i have no one to talk to nobody at home understands and im worried that this will end up affecting my children if i dont get it sorted. please someone help

Hi Jday,

Since this just came on when you became pregnant it could be your hormones messing with you. You mentioned you have other children, I assume this did not happen with their pregnances. If this continues it might help if you talk to a counselor about it. This forum will help like manmoor says as you are not alone with this issue. I would definately speak to the physician that is monitoring your pregnancy though.

Hi Jday, you are not alone, it sounds like typical health anxiety to me. You need to speak to your Gp and see if you can get some help. this site is brill, I have had lots of reassurance about things i have feared. I also fear being ill, cancer, but also side effects from meds and an illness affecting my quality of life. I am waiting for CBTand I'm seeing a counsellor to help.
