Hope u all had a good christmas.. I did. I'm taking sertraline and propranolol, and I know drinking isn't the best idea on meds so christmas day had 3 and boxing day had 1 .. I hardly ever drink. Straight after drinking I got palpitations..2 days on I'm still getting them where it feels like my hearts beating fast. Why is this happening? Shouldn't propranolol stop me from getting them anyway? Been on them bout 7 months .. And then to top it off, yesterday Had a really bad pain in my stomach, next thing I know I've fainted!!

not sure but I think its the alcohol causing an inbalance with the medication.

I've been on propanolol for about ten years. Often find a big increase in anxiety the day after drinking alcohol. Now I barely ever have a drink (maybe 3-4 times a year). I find the less frequently you drink, the harsher the inbalance. The best plan is to stay well away. Hopefully you will feel better in about 72 hours! Good luck
