nodule at base of head/ very top of neck

Above the very top of my neck/ at the base or back of my head there is a nodule that hurts/is sore when I touch it. This worries me immensely. Should I contact my doctor tomorrow? So so so scared. Please reply. Be honest.

Could it be a cyst?

What does it feel like? I have had 2 different bumps in that area. One is a sebaceous cyst and I can feel like i can move it around and it is in the skin. It feels like a painless, colorless pimple. The other actually ended up being an extremely tight muscle knot ... it was sore to touch, and massage. I got rid of it by massaging it and using ice. A doc could probably tell you really quickly. Mine barely even touched the cyst and knew what it was right away.

very sure its a sebaceous cyst, i have these a lot. it will go eventually.
