Afternoon folks,

Random 6/10 panic attack this afternoon. Not nice. :( My situation? Spraypainting in the garage with lots of draught and vent.

My symptoms? Heavy chest, chest muscle twitches, dry throat [even after water], dizziness for a while, mind racing into 'teh fear mode', drinking lots of water.

Not nice. Once one has had a PA, you feel very drained or worse, totally burnt out. Any recommendations what to do to try and pick up/get some energy/feel better or at least, less exhausted?

I'm not sure what exactly you were panicking but maybe it was genuinely caused by fumes from the paint? Or were you just excessively worried about inhaling them so much so that you developed panic attack symptoms?

Food for thought. Can't remember what I was thinking mind. :/ I was wearing a cloth mask and holding my breath [I do 30sec sessions then leave the garage - before, if possible]

Hey - how are you feeling now?

I can completely relate to how you're feeling, I'm constantly feeling drained and lacking in energy. The most effective thing I've actually found is exercise, even just a quick 10 minute walk. Of course when we feel like that exercise is the last thing on our minds, but it works.

Hope you've had a better time this evening. xx

Hey Emma,

Today was much better - just about. Was in Wagamama's with a friend and finished the meal. For some reason started getting the tingles and derealisation - but was able to grab myself together - now that I knew 'finger tingling' was a PA symptom, often due to altering CO2 levels, I was able to pull myself together and head to the pub with my friends. After that, it's been fine :)

Hope your evening went well too

Doug
