Hey folks,
Just wanting to introduce myself. Here I am sat on the computer since 5am this morning woken up with pins and needles which don't want to disappear and a lump in my throat. Takes a lot to get me out of bed this early. :D
I've been suffering from general anxiety and particularly IBS since the early 90s and it's gotten gradually worse so that I'm terribly agoraphobic and rarely leave the house. I am blessed (!) with a new symptom as a couple of months ago - a lump in my throat - which led me to this site and the possibility it could be globus hystericus. I am due to see the doctor next week and I shall discuss this with him as the ranitidine tablets he gave me for GERD don't seem to be having much effect. He clearly didn't check on my medical history to see past visits about anxiety. :mad:
Anyhow, I look forward to talking to you all in the forums.
