Hi there everyone,
Wel I'm very worried about handing in my notice at work.
Its not until July that I'll be doing it but already I'm having a nightmares about it and everytime I'm at work I feel sick especially when I was offered a course that would be a pay rise the other day. My manager thinks very highly of me and always speaks well of me, giving me good reviews and so on.
I am leaving to train as a primary school teacher and have been accepted onto a very well established course, one of the best in the country in fact.
I was of course astounded that I even got a place but have been worrying about my current job ever since. It will be a full time course and everyday I will be working and teaching in a school so I will have little to no time to myself.
The job I am currently in is retail, its part time with a low wage and not much opportunity to move up the ranks as it were.
I have a degree and reasonable education/experience behind me so being offered this opportunity has really been a blessing for me. They also have 100% employment rate for teachers which is very rare.
I hope you guys can help me, I know its a long way off but in true anxiety style I have already drafted my resignation letter!
I'm so scared of their reaction and especially since I have to work a 4 week notice period :(
