I first noticed about 3 weeks ago that when I stand up, my heart rate shoots up from around 80bpm when sitting to around 120bpm when standing. I told my doctor about this last week, he took my pulse and blood pressure while sitting and then did the same while I was standing, and while he did say that there was a marked increase in my pulse, he said it was nothing to worry about, but it really doesn't seem like that!
Sometimes when I stand I get light headed, but I don't know if that's because I'm panicking about my heart rate increasing and what might happen, I'm terrified of passing out, especially when I'm in the house on my own. Has anybody else experienced anything like this?
