Can anyone tell me what beta-blockers do and would they work for proper nerves? xx

Beta-blockers keep your heart rate normal, and stops those rushes of adrenaline. If you have panic attacks, they keep the symptoms under control, but they don't stop the anxious thoughts. So anxious thoughts but no outward symptoms might freak you out a bit :)

didnt work for me,I ended up back at docs in tears...Im now on AD's and awaiting my first CBT session.....dont want to be on AD,s forever so hoping the therapy will help long term.
beta blockers help with palpatations but didnt stop my panic attacks,I found it all too much and ended up a dithering ,crying mess.....Im much calmer now the AD's have kicked in
