Well, my HA is back in full force after a month or so with less symptoms .. i think its all started over again because i worry about my vision from the moment i get up to the moment i go to sleep!! .. i have shaky/shimmery vision when looking at somethings its usually when looking at the edge of white doors and plain white walls .. i see it when looking at the radiator in my bathroom which is white on white .. i see it when looking it my door frame which is white! .. and i sometimes see it when looking at my silver photo frames in my room if its light.
All this has started my ha off in full form again, does anybody have any of my symptoms? i have such as:

*Headaches
*feeling of fullness in nose
*facial numbness which goes from the top of my eyebrow and can travel down to my mouth at times but it hasnt travelled that far in a lil while, its also in my eyelid which makes me keep pulling at it, however it looks no differant in a mirror.
*Dizzyness
*Head fullness
*feel pulse in the back of my head/neck
*muscle Aches
*Humming or ringing in ears
*i have had floaters since a young girl but also have visual snow
etc

I am finding myself going back to square one again, constantly worrying etc, and also finding myself not wanting to go out alone again!, i have an eye test every 6months and get told my eyes are healthy, however i am short sighted is it? where i wear glasses to see distances etc.
I'm away friday for the night and have to travel via train with my best mate to get to the place i am going, i am just worried something will happen with my anxiety to ruin something thats meant to be a fun day away :(

hi
i dont have health anxiety, but have all your symptons too, but i can put them down to anxiety and ignore them...
they are symptons on anxiety and the more you look for them, the more you feel them... you need to have a fun day! so dont add fears to the trip... look at it with positive outlook, and say to yourself you are going to have a good time, and tell yourself you derseve to have a good time!

Hey Kellylou

I have all these symptoms when I have anxiety, and yeah I have health anxiety too. So those are totally normal.

Always try to think about this; if those symptoms come and go or if they stop for a while especially when you focus your mind on something else, it's only just anxiety symptoms.

As for the white on while color thing and visual snow, eye vision can be surprisingly deceptive sometimes. And blurry vision can be just excessive amount of tears, or just dryness of eyes, or even just a tiny piece of something that came across your eye pupil. But I totally know how you feel, sometimes I fall for the same trick and feel anxious. Eye movements effects it much and can be a trigger for anxiety.

Try not to think about them and they will be better so soon. Always remember, if there is something serious, you will DEFINITELY see the difference of your symptoms and their severity.
My doctor always told me, "A serious emergency condition always shows itself with severe symptoms (more than one) and those definitely will be persistent."

Try to occupy your mind before going to sleep. Here is an example of what I did (I had problems sleeping). I drew empty apartment flat plans when I felt good in day time, and before sleep if I felt anxious I started decorating those empty flats xD
You can do it in your mind too. Think of a nice empty apartment, and try the nice decoration of rooms :P
It made me feel calmer.

If you start anxiety attack is about to come (yeah you feel it actually) immediately focus on a nearest object, force yourself to think on it's physical features, i.e color, shape etc, and think what designer thought when designing it, Would you design it different? It's just to occupy your mind with other things.

Hope you feel good soon. I wrote so much again :P

Hi Kelly

All those symptoms you listed in the first post I have, every single one. Plus I get a twitch when I really start worrying.
I have a HA of a brain tumour and Dr Google has become a habit.

My Dr told me they were all HA related last week and he said to monitor how I go with regards to anxiety and go back if I wanted. I have days where I think I am ok then I the next day back to square one.

Are you on any meds for HA?

MY GP diagnosed it last week, basically because I was convinced it was a tumour as I felt dreadful. I was given a spray for my nose it I developed a burning in my nose, turns out I was using it wrong, and he also said I think you have anxiety and then I burst into tears! He wants to see if I can manage it myself if not I am to go back. I have days where I am ok, then I have to check to see if I have any symptoms, then I start panicking and feeling dizzy and it all starts again.

I agree with Beyonderz, Is it there all the time or when you are self checking? The trouble with 'anxiety' eyes is you are constantly checking. You wake up and the first thing you check is "Is it blurry" and so yep of course it is.
Try not to think about it, try to relax. You are having your eyes checked every 6 months which confirms your'e eyes are just fine but if you continue to worry ask for a referral to an eye specialist for your own piece of mind.:hugs:
