I was looking at Dr. Joe Parisi Mindfulness Meditation on YouTube and it's really good and soothing. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea where I can get this type of meditation in audio only?

I ordered a book from Amazon called 'Mindfulness for Dummies' and it came with a cd. I listened to it for the first time yesterday, layed on my bed (as suggested). Well, it was SO relaxing that I fell asleep and woke up just as it was finishing. I would highly recommend it for anxiety as it gives you chance to totally relax your mind and body. The book cost £10 with free postage and there are lots of others to try, just take your pick. I chose this one because it had a 5 star review rating (out of 5). :)

I know it's not really an audio, but have you watched Jon Kabat-Zin's mindfulness lecture to Google corp on Youtube? Its over an hour long, but he's the big man in mindfullness and I listened to it right through while doing other stuff.
Take care.

Jayuk,

Do you know you can extract audio only from youtube vidoes?

Copy the Youtube link and paste to one of the many sites that do the conversion.

One of them is:www.http://www.youtube-mp3.org

I have built quite a collection using this method

I've found a good audio entrainment that uses brainwaves as the method. If audio entrainment can help you kick start your brain when you’re feeling unfocused than you should give it a look:

I've tried a few mindfulness/meditation CDs the problem for me is some are a bit too long and it is so easy to nod off. Couple of things that have helped me, first the book and CD "Mindfulness" by Mark Williams and Danny Penman (foreword by Kabat Zinn mentioned above) which is an 8 week course and costs less than a tenner on Amazon. It's better IMO than the Dummies one because the course is properly structured and the initial sessions are under 10 minutes, so you don't get bored :) The other thing is buying a meditation stool, so you can kneel with your weight on it, easier to stay awake when you are upright.

I found doing the course mentioned above was brilliant, and added to this by reading the Dummies book (which has some great quotes and nice ways of putting things).
