Hi Volvo Man - I have GAD - for about the last 25 years! Are you taking medication for it - I am on Lorazepam 1mg when needed as I have flare ups from time to time, like now! Think they were happy to prescribe them in the 1980s - horrible to have isn't it - Good Luck

Hi Volvoman, i have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression just before christmas, it is a very lonely illness at times, i did start to feel better but for the last week I have gone back to feeling rubbish, my gp is seeing me everyday and has reduced my citalopram from this morning, i have diazepam and promazine to help me through it so fingers crossed i will start to feel better and the change in meds will work, how are you today? x

Hi Volvo Man. Welcome to the site. Soz to hear you are suffering from GAD. What do you think triggered it off? I have had Anxiety for most of my life. It started when I was at Secondary School. I am now in my late 40's. Hope you get all the support you need. If there is anything you want to ask which you feel may help you please do. Take Care xx
