Hi. I'd like to arrange a meet-up for people in Hertfordshire probably to meet in Welwyn Garden City or the surrounding area.

If this is of interest to you then please get in touch.

In my experience meeting, chatting and supporting like minded people can be a very positive experience for all involved.

I appreciate that meeting new people can seem a very daunting experience but we are all on the same journey, we really can help each other, so be brave and get in touch.

Regards
Kevin.

Hi Kevin
Are you a fellow sufferer or promoting a programme of recovery? Thanks Vx

Hi Veronica.

I suffered from a variety of anxiety and panic disorders for a number of years. I class myself as a recoverer, however I'm not sure you ever fully recover you just learn to manage your condition in a way that makes life fun again.

I do not have a programme of recovery, however I'm happy to share experiences and offer support to anyone who feels it might help, on a totally voluntary basis.

Whilst recovering I was never able to find a local group to share experiences with and it has been a goal of mine for some time to try and set one up. I'm hoping there are enough local members here who would like the same.

Whether it's a group who meets for coffee and a chat or a group that decides on a more structured support and goal setting then that will be for everyone to decide. For now I'd just like to get people together.

Kind regards
Kevin.

Is it really completely free input and help you are offering?

Yes, completely free input. If my experiences of recovery or working with other sufferers can be helpful then that's great.

Hertfordshire Ladies is a group for those ladies in Herts who love to have fun, meet new people, and have a great time socialising. Whether its a night out on the town, a movie night, a day at the seaside, a chat over a coffee, or a trip to the theater its great to have some time with the girls. Our girlfriends are so important to us all, so lets celebrate that, enjoy our friends and make new ones.
There are huge amounts of social groups on Meetup in London and I thought it was about time we had a more local group.
I just wanted to also clarify why I am charging an admin fee for the meetup's. All organizers have to pay fees to run the groups and it is recommended that we charge members to cover our costs. We also have to spend time sourcing venues, organizing events and things to do so the minimal admin fee helps to covers the costs.

Hi Kevin, I had a look at your website and am wondering what your academic qualifications are as you said you worked within the nhs? Obviously personal experience is a great help but this would not enable you to offer a treatment via a health practice of any kind. This is a genuine question, not an attack, as the tone of the website implies you offer a service.
