Don't worry about dilated pupils, Sarah :)

It's a common side effect when starting up most anti depressants, especially SSRIs. It's because Setraline is a "stimulating" anti depressant, rather than a sedative effect like you get with Mirtazapine.

You'll be fine :)

Hi Sarahlou,

I get this with venlafaxine. It's quite common with ADs, as mono stitch has said, and is nothing to worry about unless you have a history of glaucoma, which you would be aware of, so don't worry about it. Just looks a bit odd though, doesn't it?

I've had the same experience, my boyfriend noticed first. I got worried and googled it. It a normal side effect. People also get dilated pupils when they are aroused. You could always use that as an excuse lol :D
