Getting EEG next week and very scared!

I'm getting a EEG next week after having severe Insomnia and Twitching as well as Memory Fog for 2 months. I'm really scared for a couple of reasons.

1. I'm very scared they will say something is abnormal or that I have CJD or some terrible disease.

2. They asked me not to sleep the whole night before. They want me to be sleep deprived , Is this because they want me to sleep? If so I already have Bad Insomnia what if I can't fall asleep?

I'm really freaking out here please Help

Its when they put electroids on your head and look at your Brain Waves . They shine strobe lights to see if you get a seizure .
